i need to replace the window seals on my 68 westy middle side windows , one of the outer seals is well not sealing , but im also tempted to replace them with normal side glass and new seals , not sure with doing this cos its a westy and i think leave a westy . Any ways wheres the best place to get a westy louvered seal kit from , seen some places only sell the outer , while others offer full kits , with prices from £22 to £30 per window .

craig, i have a set of westy seals for one window (not the window to bus seal) i bought from west coast metric a while back, ive never even removed it from the packaging. Yours for £25 all in.

Hi Craig, i've just refurbished my westy windows and got the kit from VW Heritage.

The seals were grey (original colour i think?) and I wanted to keep the outer seal black so used my original.

They were a piece of piss to fit however the self tapping screws that hold the window in place are a bit rubbish.

They now look like new and don't leak! 8)

yes the original seals are grey on the westy louvered window . still tempted to put mormal glass in though :?

If i was you i would keep the westy window, we fitted one into our Danbury because there was no opening windows in the back and it's great for camping.

We got a seal from just kampers which has been fine for 3 years now.

does anyone know where to get the meshing from on the fly screens that fit in threse windows :?:

I was thinking about replacing ours and saw a mesh fly screen in Lakeland which i thought could be cut down and installed.
