My westy ply headliner is original and in pretty good nick. However when you run your finger over it loads of sawdust falls off. It's all quite flaky and looks like it needs some cleaning up. What's the best thing to do? Assuming I can't sand it so maybe varnish?
Anyone have any pictures of their westy headliners?

Thanks!

Difficult one really, as its only 3mm ply, its probably delaminating

To get any sort of good finish its got to be dry and clean

which piece is it

Ooops bit of a delay. Thanks for the replies.
It's the entire headliner up to the rear shelf that is quite flaky. This weekend everything was covered in sawdust (as were we) so want to try and sort it. Quick rub down then varnish?
Cheers

No use wax It nourishes the wood a good clear furniture wax available from any DIY store should be good
