Westy roof bars

I have just sanded the rust off two of the roof bars from my westy. I was thinking of treating them with Jenolite and then painting them with Black Hammerite. Is this a good idea? How has anyone else treated them?

I've left mine as they are....I'm too short to notice the rust :mrgreen:

I have used Por15 on various bits and pieces, seems to do the job for me. (Any news on the engine????? - No news on the jobs yet )

Not heard about the engine either :roll: , Spoke to the Adi a couple of days ago and he was going to strip it down today. I'll give him a call tomorrow for a progress update. Fingers crossed that I'll have it back for Bristol
