What’s this !!??

Just tried to fit a new bamboo shelf .. discovered my air intakes look different to the ones I’ve looked at online .. the plastic end bits aren’t on everyone else’s!

They are in the way and I can’t fit the shelf flush as a result ....
Mines a 69 uk model ... not deluxe as far as I am aware ...

They are the deluxe air vents that link to the door armrest/airvents the bamboo shelf wont work with these unless you cut the rear of the shelf, or if you dont have the armrest/vents then you get the blanking ends and replace them!

Ah!! Thank you .... do not have the armrests .... can’t see how I can cut the rear of the shelf as it’s wrapped in bamboo ... that’s a choker....
gonna look for the blanking plates ... any pointers to where I can get some?

@davidoft should have them. If you need to fit the shelf just remove the open ended couplers, fit shelf then worry about end caps when you can get hold of them, not a rare item so anyone breaking a bus should have some.

I may have some regular blanking plates, in pearl white.. pretty sure there is at least 1, maybe a pair. I'll have a look over the weekend when I go to the garage. If I have the're yours for postage
