Does anybody know of a good brake upgrade that wont't break the bank? Currently running standard brakes with 14" wheels and looking for something stronger.

Various options at the £1000 price point.

Alternatively, you can fashion something with some late bay parts for less but you will lose the wide five wheel pattern and it's not off the shelf.

Saw something from GSF doing a cheap brake kit but wasn't very trusted as a brand. Never known anyone fit one either.

CSP kit all the way - put it through its paces through the Italian/French mountains and it didn't let us down once.

Inspired confidence and much better than the standard drums - also allows you to run wide 5 wheels just like standard! 8)

depends on wheels and pcd really , i have 944 front and rear vented discs which work out cheaper plus you get vented discs , not sure if they fit 14" wheels tho

I have a Boxwagen set up which is Wide five, fits a standard 14" wheel and has proper vented discs and was a lot cheaper then most. Its a fairly new product so don't have it on there site yet so you would have to give Ady a call

I have a hell of a lot more confidence in my brakes now and don't have to worrying about constant adjustments and uneven braking etc

you could upgrade to servo assisted in the first instance. without looking at the price, i would presume this would be the cheapest option.

the engine will assist you in breaking - meaning the your foot will have to apply less pressure for the same braking force. therefore, for the same foot pressure you will get additional braking force equal to force created by the engine vaccuum.

Well I have 112 stud pattern and I can't find a good upgrade without swithcing to a 130. In response to another reply is futbus still running? I could not get through on the phone.
