Does anyone know what the law is when travelling on buddy seats?

I've got the two buddy seats that slot into the bulk head and wardrobe facing to the rear on my Dormy with no seat belts fitted. Sometimes an extra seat is needed but is it legal?

:?

If it's a seat in a camper that doesn't require seatbelt a due to its age then yes, it's legal. You decide the moral(?) issue.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm not in favour of it, but the other day on the school run it was case of using a buddy seat or a leaving a friend to walk back in the rain. I wouldn't use one as general practice.

not convinced a seat belt would help out that much in a buddy seat anyway

I think law is adults can travel in the back of vehicles with no seat belt but not kids
