What should I pay for early bay bumpers?

Hello! We currently have a chrome early bay front bumper and were wanting to sell it in order to fund a front and back early bay bumper. We havent got a clue what sort of price is reasonable for a bumper- does anyone have any ideas for the going price they seem to go for a fare wack on ebay, is this what we will need to pay? ALSO do any of you know what would be a fare price to charge someone for our chrome front bumper?

Is it chrome or painted bumpers your after, if its painted the fronts are more available and are generally cheaper than the rears depending on condition the fronts will be between 50 -100 and the rear around 70 - 120 and thats just going on prices i have seen at shows and e-bay etc you can buy new bumpers but thier not as good as originals,thats just my opinion hope that helps you.

I recently paid £77 for a rear bumper on ebay but I think I touched lucky as I'd been looking for over a year and they were going for£120 to £160.As for the one your selling a new set of chromed bumpers comes in around £600.

the stainless bumpers (front and back) are £450-500 from harrington grp, if thats what you mean? i havent seen a chromed EB bumper before.

Standard EB bumpers are £100 ish on ebay atm.

there is a company doing stainless ones on ebay at the moment for 500 notes for the pair.
sell the ones you got for 150 + and put that towards a pair that will outlast any bus you ever fit them to

silly me, told you I didnt know anything - yep you are right it must be a stainless one. Okay so the prices I have seen on ebay are kind of okay prices, just will have to keep our eyes peeled for a bargain one.
Do you think I will get a good price if I sell the front bumper on ebay? I hate the way things often go for more than they are worth, I'd hate to think we were ripping soemone off.

Okay just seen an early bay front bumper for 100 squid, should I go for it? (sorry this is the female selbster here and so bound to get it wrong and then be in trouble with the money maker!!!!!! :shock: )

Just spoken to the man with the money and he tells me that it is a chrome one - mmmm what does this mean?

if you buy it you will need a chrome back bumper or £25 to get it shot blasted
so you can paint it

sorry I didnt make sense with my last post! The bumper we already own, my huband assures me, is a chrome front bumper. So does this mean our current bumper it is worth more than 150 squid?
I think we will go ahead and buy the replacement front bumper we have seen and hope that we can recoop the money by selling our chrome fornt bumper to pay for it.

it all depends who's watching your item on ebay,chrome is not everyones cup of tea.But if you get a few people interested then who knows what it will go for.try selling it on here open to offers with a picture or on VZI but you have to put a price on it first :EG £200.00 or open to offers and take what you think its worth :wink:

problem with chrome is it eventually rusts underneath and something that large will cost a fortune to re-chrome, i would defo get rid and put the money toward some shiney stainless or a painted one if your on a budget.

looked ar a really nice rear today at peppercorn...asked how much and nearly choked when told £200. I sold a mint rear deluxe bumper for that...maybe i`m the fool

Man, in Belgium they're rare as rocking horsie-doody around here.
Some guys are asking around 80 EURfor a totally dinged up rear bumper.

thing is it`s always the rear that is missing...engine out throw away bumper so they are always going to be sought after..ps gimp scene is on.
