What the devils is this?

It has no obvious electrical connections, but a nozzle about the size of a carb vacuum nozzle.
It was screwed just to the left inside the engine bay.

Any ideas? Do I need it? :lol:

Nope, it's not a fuel pump, there's only one inlet/outlet...

Indeed it is part of the throttle valve poitioner 70 - 71 model the bit you have there is the altitude corrector part of the set up... on the turret section your holding it by is there an adjuster screw?

It basically slows the return to idle by a few seconds.
