pair of mud flaps from KK with the V missing  straight on the phone tomorrow

Bought a pair of 175/55/15 Michelin Energy tyres (part worn) off a guy from the SSVC forum for £27 :)

One guy was selling blue-prints/engineering drawings of bugs, splits, KG's etc - guess which one he didn't have. Yep. No bay-window - though he did say he was trying to track one down.

Was half tempted by some american eagle fuchs from Kinky Mick - but other than that I didn't really see anything of note worth buying.

Methinks the days of bargain swap-meet finds are long gone :(

madmatz bits from a order

for the single cab a mat and kick panels

for the bus a dash carpet - can't really think what else to call it ??

now waiting for my doors cards - to be collected from big bang :!:

oh , and the better half bought clothes and trainers, must learn to lead her the other way when coming up to those stalls :?

Colemans water jug to match my cooler box, stainless scat rocker covers to stop my leaky ones and some deluxe door handle surround)ones that actually fit :D )

I would have bought Gadgets panel, but couldnt afford it after buying a hotdog and chips ;) Pricey place to eat

Bought the usual suspects .. brake hoses .. seals etc ..

.. Good bargain from Heritage .. 4 HD Meyle ball joints should be £15 each .. all 4 for £35 .. :D

Thought the swap meet was a bit too commercial .. not the kind of stalls that excite were they!

Spent a good 20 minutes on my hands and knees fishing through the boxes on the floor under the table of the Irish chap (Tom?) They were full of NOS stuff. Found 12 NOS chrome bumper mounting bolts with nuts and 4 NOS rear brake star adjusters. Asked him how much he wanted and nearly fell over when he said 3 quid!! - then spent another 10 minutes chatting to him about the Peppercorn show which he helps organise - never been before but will this year. Great bloke - a true Gentleman and a credit to the VW scene.

Was wanting a RHS front bumper step, RHS rust free arch cut and RHS NOS mirror to match the one I got at Dubfreeze. Had no joy with any of these, Havent been to Volksworld for 4 years - Im sure the swapmeet was much better then, though I guess as time moves on good used and NOS stuff simply becomes much scarcer.

Hi!

Some cool bits from Oddball Import, Madmatz, carpet - and one of the dash matts - till folk saw mine on my bus and he sold out! He came over for pics for his website - cool! You'll see these all over the place now i reckon. Got a cool old 60-70's round alloy drinks cooler for only 22 quid!

Totally forgot to buy the bits i need, like ball joint rubbers, new oil strainer etc etc..........

Poorly GF stopped play for Sun, has to go early, missed out seeing some more stuff - but good job, spent enough already!

I blew a wad. Don't normally, but I have a feeling that 'import inflation' is likely to hit VW part prices soon (like now) due to the collapsed £ (even beyond the hikes of the last few years)

Revamping the 'ol tub at the moment so I bought 4 stock bay wheels & tyres (off a VZi'er), picked up an alternator kit from Heritage and a set of Mahle P & C's from megabug, pistons were probably deal of the day for me, the exactamundo mahles were £150 upstairs from coolair but £115 from megabug

I also noticed gen VW t/port heads heads are now £195 each on saturday, Hmmm...no sign of 'deflation' there!

As I say, I'm more of a make-do-and-mend type of guy myself, but speaking as someone who can remember buying new gen heads for <£150 a pair about 10 years ago and pistons for £59 a set, I'm 'stocking up' while I can still have a job and can afford to :!:

Not much for the van, but my finest buy was the Herbie Volksworld picture with me and Hannah in it!

Cheesey  !

Hwy Fortunate son, we at mcj had a few rust free rh bumper steps and rh front arches, we were on the main floor, we still have a few if your going to bus types, thanks, Mark

nearly bought a pair of rear deluxe bumper trims from a guy upstairs for 70 notes but he only had one rubber so had to refrain. most bits i came home with were from pre organised meets.

opening front quarters and deluxe rhd slider track cover from rocket. :D

4x 1967 356/911/912 steel wheels with flat chrome og caps with 195/65/15 and 195/50/15 tyres.

accellerator pedal, spring, pin, clips, and steering box rubber £33 from schof's. its the little bits that mount up

and a poly gbox linkage for a tenner.

also dropped all my hubs and spindles off with a guy to get the audi brakes fitted to them.

all in all a good show though my arms are still hurting after carrying each wheel one at a time through the show to my sharan :(
