The one to the right of the seat adjuster, cant see what mine does? I know the eberspacher control (if fitted) is next to it.

Please put me out my missery

that is to put the heat to the back outlet, just under the walk through, there is a grate with 3 holes,
under the van there should be the cable attached and it operattes a flap..

AH-HA

I lifted the carpet that was in the back (to reveal a perfect lino :D ) and noticed the said grate......................so the knob pulls out and presumably opens the flap, and voila,.....heat in the rear!

I have tried pulling, twisting, u name it lol

Cool

Long way for a manual choke cable ;) (thought that was why VW had some of the first electric / automatic chokes?)

Why would some people want a manual choke? :)

A manual choke is a great thing, have you ever sat in Bristol traffic at 6am on a frosty morning, trying to keep the thing going? electric chokes are **** none on most twin set ups anyway.

Gonna have a looksy, see whats what and then forget about it

Is this with a stock air filter?

With all the correct parts like that (and the manifold preheat), it ought to run fine when the choke has come off ;)

Having said that, as a student I'm very rarely seen at 6AM.

6AM surely students believe that to be some mythical alternate parallel type time zone only witnessed by entering some warp in the time frame............

I've actually experienced it twice, in the last two days!

Been woken up by a fire/car/somethingelse alarm, at 5AM I've got 10 minutes of it two days running now.

:?
