Whats this knob do?

The one to the right of the seat adjuster, cant see what mine does? I know the eberspacher control (if fitted) is next to it.

that is to put the heat to the back outlet, just under the walk through, there is a grate with 3 holes,
under the van there should be the cable attached and it operattes a flap..

I lifted the carpet that was in the back (to reveal a perfect lino ) and noticed the said grate......................so the knob pulls out and presumably opens the flap, and voila,.....heat in the rear!

I have tried pulling, twisting, u name it lol

Long way for a manual choke cable (thought that was why VW had some of the first electric / automatic chokes?)

Why would some people want a manual choke?

A manual choke is a great thing, have you ever sat in Bristol traffic at 6am on a frosty morning, trying to keep the thing going? electric chokes are **** :roll: none on most twin set ups anyway.

Is this with a stock air filter?

With all the correct parts like that (and the manifold preheat), it ought to run fine when the choke has come off

Having said that, as a student I'm very rarely seen at 6AM. :lol:

I've actually experienced it twice, in the last two days! :shock:

Been woken up by a fire/car/somethingelse alarm, at 5AM I've got 10 minutes of it two days running now.
