What's this mean?

I've seen this a lot in ad descriptions of bus stuff but never understood what it means:
Frontdoor 8/67-7/79
It's the 8 in front of the 67 and the 7 in front of the 79, I'm guessing it might be the month but is that right??

Think it means it will fit any bus from

Aug 67 - July 79

Any type 2 Early or Late is my guess

Production year starts in the August of the previous year, and ends in the july of the current year -

1969 model year produced from 08/68 to 07/69
1970 model yesr produced from 08/69 to 07/70
1971 model year produced from 08/70 to 07/71

etc
