where can i buy original quality rear volkswagen scripts?

hi everyone,

long time!

some scrote nicked the rear script off my van a while back :evil:

so the missus got me a new one for my birthday from VW heritage, only trouble is it's just a ally repro, shocking quality kinda brushed (ie rough) finish and not all the letters properly formed, its nothing like the original. it's so bad i don't want to put it on

so is anyone selling rear scripts that are of the same quality to the original ones/ ie nice and shiny smooth

i will buy myself a new one, and the missus will be none the wiser and I'll be all the happier!

I'd ordered from Status and got a rough finish from them as well. Ended up sending it back and looking for an original. Probably worth calling them before you order to check the current finish

I took mine off & welded up the holes. I will have a look to see if I still have mine somewhere. You can have it for free if it is any good.

All the repro ones will be the same shiny ali finish, they all come from the same supplier!

The only way to get a good quality one, as with most things, is to get an OG one, if you can find one that is. The good news is that the EB scripts are the same ones as fitted to late splits, so there are a few more OG ones about.

You should try the SSVC forum, they pop up on there from time to time. 8)
