on a vacuum anti pulse valve? I left it off 'cos I couldn't find the answer and firing up last night (snap throttle from idle) number 2 is spitting, number 4 is tapped for the vacuum line, so it has to go on.

I went with alfa1750s advice when I fitted mine.

thanks Loxy, useful link, the valve is supposed to hold vacuum at the distributor for longer, so should be easier to flow air to the carb than the dizzy.

Tried sucking and blowing earlier and couldnt be sure, I can see clear thru the valve, about a 1mm hole, there is no 'valve', so assumed it is a venturi shaped so it is lower loss one way than the other, so not really surprising it is difficult to tell with fraction of 1 psi. I think its just a bit easier to suck in the direction of the arrow, which fits with the conclusion in the link, but then how much of that comes from having read the link and knowing what the answer should be??????? Thats the way its going on.
