windscreen wiper electrical help please

For all you electrical wizards please can you help me as I am not very clued up with electrics :roll:

After an MOT and a fiddle by someone else my wipers have ceased to work.

I can confirm the washer switch has power to it (terminal 30) and after continuity testing when switched terminals 53 and 53b work.

What else can I test before assuming the motor is dead?

Any comments welcome as this is driving me insane :evil:

Have you proved power to the wiper motor? I think there are terminals or a connector close to the motor, check these are secure. Are the joints and knuckles on the mechanism lubricated? Its not a bad job getting the motor out, I remember doing mine in around two hours, greased it all up and back in.
