Winter Plans for your bay

Im not writing the summer season off just yet, but was just wondering what you have planned for your bay over the winter, my plans include;

Lowering
fixing the oil temp guage
recovering the interior
fitting new curtains
oh and getting the handbrake to hold on a hil!

nice easy jobs :lol:
 
il be unlowering

recover the westy seats(bloody orange)

fix the front seat spring that keeps poking me in arse

refit the propex or flog it cant decide

ow and i will be removing the engine fitting a new clutch and while its out give it a clean and put the flaps back in and replace the alt stand gaskit.

im sure thats it......
 
Taking my front beam off again :( then altering the front the garage so i can hopefully get the bus in with the roof rack on.
 
Renewing drainage pipes on sunroof.
some body work repairs.
some interior mods and trying to find an elusive sliding door panel :|
 
Replacing the exhaust
Reinstating heat exchangers, heat riser elbows etc so I can have some warmth when driving
retrimming all seats & cards 8)
adding some 6x9's
rewiring stereo to run off both batteries with a toggle switch
ironing out all other electrical gremlins :twisted:
 
well my list is quite long but thought would put it on here anyway!

finish welding new rear jacking points!
fit new rear cross member
fit new custom made belly pans
new front beam -link a pin(split beam)
roll van over and respray all underneath after fitting new inner arches tubs!
new brake lines
re-wire rear lights
fit new cab doors and arches both sides
weld lower valance repair panel on
fit new exhaust
maybe new rear corners both sides
find and fit new engine lid
respary whole van inside and out and underneath!including dash (wont reveal what colours just yet :)
retrim interior fit original dormy interior back in!
sound proof
new window rubbers and light lenses!

all by new year is the plan but just going to work like mad now really untill it is done!with fresh inspiration from vanfest!will start a new topic soon and get all the pics up!
iam only 18 so im learning alot along the way but its not my first van!and defonatley not the last!
 
respray (was done 6 years ago ready for a touch up)
steering box
front suspension to try and stop it banging over every bump inthe road that reminds me must go on diet :lol:
 
having a interior made by Kustominteriors, when I get down there with my old one as we keep holding off hoping the weather will pick up.
Building a 1776 :D :D
Get engine bay painted
Change gearbox for 1302S thats been sat on the drive for the last 6 months
Renew the headlining, again with the correct ply this time
and finally put the pop top canvas on the rightway as it's been inside out for the past 18months :oops: :oops:
 
My plans for the winter are;

replace front arches and cab floors,
replace/repair front panel,
repair gutter sections,
replace section over cab door,
replace section over cargo door,
replace rear arches,
repair rear wheel tubs,
repair window apertures,
repair holes in cargo floor,
sand back crappy primer coat,
get cab doors, tailgate, sliding door, and engine repaired and sprayed
fit new rubbers to windows and doors
replace steering box,
replace gearbox,
paint engine bay,
remove dash and restore to body colour,
bloody hell, this is depressing, I'm going to stop now :cry:
 
Plan to drop the engine out
Fix fuel sender & breathers
repaint engine bay
possibly rebuild the engine (wll at least fix a couple of the oil leaks)

Oh, sort out some sort of heater in the garage, so I don't freeze. :(
