Yes I would, at the moment I have a real hankering for a split screen and they way I look at is, you only live once so gotta give it a go.

My advise would be drive one first!!!!
I moved heaven & earth to become the proud owner of a , if I say so myself, fookin beautiful 13 window Splitty!!!
Only to find at the first drive, they are a world away from a bay!!!!

I did exactly that . sold my bay and already had the 11 lined up to replace it .
No regrets at all .
I may get another bay in the future but i had to scratch the splitty itch . you only live once

a bay is a better drive than a splitty , but who cares . A Daewoo matiz drives better than the lot of them ... If you want to take that stance

I had a split and couldnt get on with it, I hired a bay for the week and I was converted! All depends what you are after in a bus, I wanted a usable "camper" for family holidays etc that i was comfortable driving..... splits im my opinion look cool but arent practical.

Had a few splits over the years did sell a really sweet Earlybay Poptop Westy for a 59 Mango didn't have it long soon sold it and was back in a Earlybay ;)

I think it depends how tall you are

If your over 5'10" and like driving hunched over then a splitty is for you. Trust me ;)

I'm sure that's why I've got a bad back

no, did my research and decided i wanted an earlybay with a servo, front disks, westy pop top & interior. looking good is one thing, but practicality is another. strange thing to say about a 48 year old vehicle........its practical - but its bigger and better engineered without being a t5. (i would have had a t25 either though but my wife didn't like the look...)

I wouldn't swap as it would mean getting rid of my bay!

If I could afford to add one to the fleet I think I would chose to spend the cash on a Ghia instead 8)

Swap, no. Add to the fleet, yes! I wanted a split all my life. But the economical climate doesn't allow me to use a split the same way as I use my bay. Add the kids. Salt water from surfing trips and a dog. I'd freak out driving a 35000 £ split. Eventually, i fear our bays will suffer the same fate.
