One of the first things I bought when we talked about our camper was a full westy interior.. I keep looking at the wardrobe and wondering.. For its weight, is it that practical?? I am tempted to pull it out and have a nice unit and have the window space back..

So, for all of you westy owners.. Please tell me how useful this wardrobe actually is and what you keep in it??

Cheers

The rear part has an lpg tank in it whilst the front gets used for tools, oil, cooker, dog food, spares and other odds and sods. Got to admit it was easier to drive when the interior was out and I could see out of that side

I fitted shelves to mine, The extra storage for bits n bobs was welcomed

Now that's a good idea. Currently all my stuff is chucked in and as much ad I try it never ends up neat. Might have to try this :)

Thats a shout!! I like that idea.. I thought of maybe a big roller shutter cut out to give better access.. I like the shelving idea though.

We were talking about shelves too, we currently have to pull everything out to get to what's at the bottom which is annoying, those look cool (and your seats). I'm thinking of a wine rack in the bottom too!

The front section is perfect for a few food up chairs. Plus oil, tools etc.
Rear section fits my gas bottle, electric hook up and lots of other clothes camping gear etc.

If I had my time again, I would bin mine and get a wider bed, it is nice for a bit of storage, but i would prefer more room to sleep :p

we keep folding chairs and coats in the front, and the cooker in the back.

Isabel is modelling my Westy interior, this works much better for us, making better use of the space (much needed for a family of 5!)

I'm binning mine next weekend been away a few times now and it's just in the way, thinking of making a lower unit in its place for storage but to mainly open up the window, i find it a bit depressing having it there. Also LHD issues will be eliminated :)

All very well, but where are you hanging your suits and pressed shirts? :?
