    1970 Dormobile D4/8 Pictures

That's lovely! Very rare too! Back in the day I remember being taken to school in a D4/8 that was owned by one of the parents who occasionally shared the school run with us.

Ya See Um come and ya se um go!

Sorry to hear that, particularly after your previous bad luck. :( I hope the court case is resolved quickly, to your satisfaction, and that you can get on and enjoy your bus. :) Doug

Ya See Um come and ya se um go!

Still here! :D My parents bought their Danbury new in 1972, when I was 6 years old. I became a fan of VWs even before that, when they hired a new Dormobile c1969/1970. I hope to have my bus (same year, colour and everything else, as my Folks' old one) for a very long time yet! :D Doug

There's a splitty version not far from me. I do politely wave back, when the driver waves to me!

    72 danbury

Hi and welcome! :D I have a '72 Danbury too, and also had a childhood with a bay... a '72 Danbury from new! Re keeping the interior, you need the bus to accomodate your needs, and at least if you are a cabinet maker, you can make it to suit. Only thing I would say, is that if the interior...

My 72 Danbury- Stock resto thread

Hi Robb. Been a while since we last chatted. Great to see the stock resto well underway! I'm following with interest! 8) Let me know if you need any more Danbury specific help at all. :D Doug

    Beaulieu vw day

Not sure yet, whether I'll make it. Couldn't get the time off, and I'm working nights at both ends of the day! :( If I'm not too tired I'll try and make it! My suggestion for a meeting place would be by the Royal Oak pub at Hill Top. This is just off the B3054 outside Beaulieu. They...

    My 72 Danbury

You've put in some good work there Matt. She's come up fab! :D Mine is a bit of a patchwork of original and more recent paint, and definitely a 'patina' bus. The blue on mine is quite flat, though in places even that does still give a little bit of a shine! It's 100% original inside and showing...

    My 72 Danbury

Hello and welcome from a fellow '72 Danbury owner! She does indeed look nice and straight! 8) Interesting looking Danbury badge there. It looks as if it is brass? Very posh for a Danbury if it is! Doug

    Beaulieu vw day

Yes, I'd be up for doing that. I know of a suitable pub car park too. I had better get on and book that day off, as I believe I am down to work it, at present!

its a crew cab beetle "only one in the world" we must save

I think that would be a great family car. I love the baby changing table there, which of course could also double up as a picnic table. A very versatile design.
