White Lines ???
Any ideas guys, for lining the letters on my tyres. Not had much success in longevity with this and it’s a proper pain in the bum to do . It’s almost like a job for life using these white pens that are plastic tipped and it’ll splodge everywhere unless you’re super careful. I’ve tried a few different things but it needs to be fairly controllable too.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,looks great when done.

Don’t use spray paint Ozzie 🤣 … just saying 🙈😵‍💫

Here’s my new ish brake bleeder. The tiny hole that I drilled in the end to get a good flow is now sealed off with super glue. You can just about see the side ports which allows the sprayer to spray or jet or anywhere in between.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,now it’s a garden sprayer again

Whitewall paint maybe?

No dressing gown pics? I would've thought the silver would go well with the pink....

That’s exactly what I did in the end Wig, not sure how I’ll get it on to the tyres just yet because I’m only painting the outline raised bit. I’ll sort that when I get to it though.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,nice one

Could you use a gloss roller?

Could you use a gloss roller?
That might be a lot smarter than it initially sounds. Be even better if I could get a miniature roller , but so long as it’s contacting two points at the same time then it shouldn’t paint the rest of the tyre. Worth a try and see how much paint it might waste or not as the case may be. The pressure needed might be hit or miss.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,I’ll be trying that definitely :)

There’s been an issue with my main battery tray for a while. It doesn’t appear to be rusted out, more that it’s not attached to anything and it’s gradually sloping away from the rear arch to the point where it is now about two and a bit inches lower just below the rear light. I’ve got a complete set of new lenses for my welding helmet so now’s the time to try them out and find out if I can actually see enough to form a decent weld.
This looks to be the result of multiple repairs to the rear corners over the oIMG_4078.jpegIMG_4075.jpeg

Where the tray attaches to the arch looks a bit ropey so I’ll cut that out too and see how far I need to go. Luckily I’ve still got some metal from the original panel van window edge that’s gonna make that bit up. This is the view from under the wheel arch where the mud flappy bit hooks onto the inner arch , looking from the rear wheel.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, inner arch looks saveable :)

Done that but no pics yet. Tacked and bashed it back together then covered all the evidence with seam sealer. Plus bought a new battery today and fitted that too. In the end I was gonna go for the Yuasa 75 amp chappie like the one that’s been in there for eleven years or more. They didn’t have that one so I went a bit bigger and got the Yuasa 5000 which is 100 amp and the terminals around the right way. Splashed a bit of paint around and we now has a fairly tidy rear corner.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, almost ready to camp :)

DELIVERY ! !
From J.K. Just had a delivery, didn’t take long at all. So some new clips for my wheels should I ever want to fit hub caps, possibly thinking of SS Baby Moons but they’re not in stock right now and anything chrome apparently is only guaranteed for the rest of the week or until it rains, whichever is sooner. Fresh air pipe for the fan housing to heat exchanger, two connecting sections or grommets, and the two connector spigots , a new earth lead for my old battery now to run noisy cupboard lights and a clamp. Need to sort this horn wiring out now and get my horn push back on o that I can get the pedal pan fitted too. Then the diesel warmer upper will go in. 🥳

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, tidy it up a bit :)

Here’s the before and after pictures , old air pipes and filters. Then new air pipes complete with gaskets and seals and the metal doo dah section. New air filters that haven’t been changed in yonks and yonks and a crankcase vent straight in to the carb draft instead of puking all over the noisy cupboard and out the back. Time to warm him up and get an oil change sorted methinx.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, never toooo many oil changes ,,,, ever  :)

I was looking at stainless baby moons over on the J.K. Website a couple of days back and they’re on back order for the wide fives but they do have some stainless ones that would fit on yours with your one twelves. I can remember us chatting about them a while back. I’m waiting for them to come back in to stock and they’ll notify me.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,change is as good as a rest :)
