Any tips for getting this tube back in?

Any tips on getting this back in? I’ve been wiggling and fighting with it for hours! Had the dash out and forgot to put it back in and I really don’t want to pull the dash back out

undo the 2 bolts, the metal part will lean backwards and you can push the plastic over it
