Hi,
Anyone got any parts or know any used parts for sale before I buy new for my Subaru conversion to my early bay!!!

Ideally needing:
Reversed throttle body
Exhaust system
Shortened oil pan
Under belly radiator

But any links etc for parts would help.

I already have Wiring loom, engine, Adapter plate, cradle bar.

Thanks
John

Thanks guys!!

Ive read that thread a few months ago along with about 20 other threads trying to get as much info as I can, Ive managed to get most of the parts to get the engine into place, so hopefully i can crack on with it. Just need those extra bits so I can can run the engine!!

Unfortunately I sold all my bits when I went Tdi...
But all the conversion parts came from Richard at RJ Engineering...the reverse throttle body and eventually one of his radiators...although I survived on home bru radiator set ups for a few years.
Exhaust I made myself and I never had a shortened sump as too much money! I did make a skid plate for it though :)

I bought the brace, gearbox mount and some other little bits from Richard at RJE, very knowledgeable guy spent a few hours at his unit talking to him and picking his brain for my conversion.

I have got a list of things I need to finish and most of the stuff will be ordered from RJE as they are the cheapest about for the Subaru conversions for these vans, Im just trying to see if anyone has any parts from a project that they given up with that maybe on the off chance I could bag a bargain before I have to buy brand new, i'll give it a couple of weeks and then just order new(but i do like a bargain like we all do)

Exhaust is the stumbling block, as cheapest ive seen a full exhaust is £745 from PPP exhaust which I might have to bite the bullet for, best quality exhaust ive seen is Fellow Speed Shop but that's looking at £1,200 which as much as id like it, I cant bring myself to pay £1200 for a exhaust.

Shortened sump cheapest ive seen is £335 from Subaru Surgery.

You might be able to get an exhaust place to make you one for less....but it's getting the bus to their workshop that might be an issue!
A reversed WRX manifold, some pipes off ebay, a welder and some playing also works well ;)

Richard is a sound bloke and very knowledgeable (y)

Contacted a place for a custom exhaust they want £1800 or £1500 if they can make a jig and use my van as a guinea pig to mock up some exhausts!!!

I used my local Longlife for my bespoke Corvair exhaust, they had it done in a morning and cost something like £200,

Bought the header from Kennedy engineering and bolted on the cat, purchased the stainless bent tubing sections and a stainless muffler from Amazon, cut and tacked it together and a buddy tig welded it all up , same with the water lines

That looks sound, and i bet a lot cheaper then £1000. The cheapest ive seen is £745 with a place called PPP, i might go that route, but i might check with my local custom exhaust company.
