hi.does anybody have any advice on how to put your gearstick back in because mines come come out of the housing? T here is a small spring that seems to go nowhere and i dont know which way round the stop bracket goes.Various people have tried and completly confused me.many thanks.

autopsy revealed knackered camshaft.engine going back to manufactuer next week

is garuanteed. only done 800 miles since engine installation.worst part is we were booked in for a weeks camping in devon next week.

didn,t go well. engine overheated on way there then blew up on the way back.home on a low loader again.

i havn,t tried searching cos like you say its a bit hit and miss. i,ll phone beetle barn at st ives and see if he has any ideas if i get no joy tomorrow

will ask the chap when she,s in the garage tomorrow. double checked adjuster to make sure she was tight and all was ok

its a recon engine from ;the engine shop; only done 700 miles

Have adjusted valves to settings as per warranty spec. Took bus for a spin then checked valves again after leaving overnight only to find the gap on exhaust valve on nos three had opened up to approx 12 thou. Readjusted and tried again and the same thing has happened again. Any ideas please?

Am going to wilsher,s garage in wimpole about 15 miles from st neots. Friend of mine recommended them to me. Think this place is recommended by type 2 detectives. Will let you know how i get on.

Fitted a recon engine 700 hundred miles ago.Run in for 500 hundred miles and changed oil readjusted valves as per manufactuers spec. Also fitted a set of twin carbs although they haven,t been set up yet,she,s booked for rolling road this wed. the problems i,ve got is that when she starts up...

my stalk has nine wires but the bus only has eight so i used trial and error by joining the different wires together until i found the right combination. Not ideal but it worked. The other way would be to use a multimeter, not very expensive and cuts out all the guesswork.

When i restored the van the only rubber that wasn,t replaced was the windscreen rubber.We did buy a new rubber but the glazier couldn,t get it to fit so put the old one back. I put a bead of mastic round it and its been ok.

Am perhaps looking to upgrade to twin carbs when funds allow but they all seem to come with no cold start system or chokes. Can someone tell me why this is and how you go about starting from cold.
