If the windscreen on a 69 bay is relatively new and in good condition can it be re-used?

If so what is the best way to remove it without causing any damage to the rubber?

When i restored the van the only rubber that wasn,t replaced was the windscreen rubber. We did buy a new rubber but the glazier couldn,t get it to fit so put the old one back. I put a bead of mastic round it and its been ok.

Personally I'd rather cut the rubber than risk knackering the screen! You've got to be extremely brave if you've got a laminated screen.

But yeah its possible, ideally you need a window fitting kit, just slide the pointy tool behind the rubber from the inside of the van and flick it back over the flange on the body.
