Had another look today, still no one around to ask though. Now don't think its a dormobile roof - edge of the pop top defo looks different to a Dormy. Does look like there is some sort of window in the pop top too. S.

Picked one today at the Slough swapmeet from Ron (from on here) including the little rubber stop that butts up against the screen. & its such an improvement, I can now see to the horizon rather than 10-20 metres. S.

In addition, mine was a 1700 which uses the same gearbox as a type1 1600, you may well need to change the gearbox as well for a 2000Type4. Simon.

I have found an early bay literally 2 mins walk from my house on a dead end road I've not been down before. There are 7 other cars/vans in the drive all overgrown by bushes/trees, looks like its been there many many years. Proper hoaders house, windows painted black, 8ft fence across the front...

I had assumed all bays were twist in, will double check mine tomorrow, the one i had in the past was defo a twist in and would either have been in a '70 or '72 van but can't remember which. S.

Anyone got one of those early extra long rear views?? had one in the past and they are so much better (especially for tall people) for actually seeing a good distance out the rear window.
