the big round pressings on the bulkheads behind the seats are cut out for heater vents on a micro bus
these are left solid on a kombi
westfalia might have converted a micro bus special order maybe
ive got the bluebird one it has pros and conns
it never leaks
its frameless so i think these look the best cause they keep the original lines of the bus
but they only open a inch
im not sure what a heated screen will pull in amps but it carnt be a lot my guess going off what other things pull would be 4-5 amps tops
you should wire it through a relay but the main battery feed to your fuse box will be fine
get a 4 pin relay pin 30 to battery pin 85 to earth pin 87 is...
well said, my heating ducts are in good nick but ive just fitted a new engine with beetle heat exchangers
so i couldnt cable them up ,i fixed them open and man it was too hot i had to close em
good advice james exept i wouldnt call it a punt
every towbar pulling a caravan uses these, people wouldnt fit em if they wasnt reliable
there is nothing wrong with the old trigger relays but they are still electronics which have to be fitted in the engine bay or pull a trigger wire into the bus...
if a relay breaks send it back, i fit hundreds of these to cars every year
to be honest i dont need comebacks and because they are fitted "inside and dry" they are the most reliable i dont know which one you used froggy but ive fitted most and they all are adjustable some have a smal hole under...
if you have a smart relay that doesnt switch on and off ,or chatters ,there is a trim switch on the circuit board so you can set them because of different voltages in old busses they might need a tweek but wired with correct cable you can get them spot on
good pubs a castle and about 4 caverns its a top place
2 or 3 days is enough in castleton try monsal head ,a cool camp site next to a top pub with loads of german beer within walking distance of bakewell
i too have stopped using a certain online retailer it was all crap
the awning was crap replaced with khyam
the rubbers are crap
the chrome is crap
the camping stuff all crap
dont get me wrong china makes quality stuff (just look at an ipod)
but i dont think they would be many bay windows left...
sell it to her that LHD is easier to park cause your sat on the kerb side
tell her once you get over checking your mirror and and the gear change being weird the
diffrence is about 3 foot thats it
other than Araons suggestion dont bother with imobilisers, on a old bus they wont work get a engine lid lock, take a lead off or get a quick release battery clamp and lock the engine door
i personally soldered mine but the most modern canbus systems do use scotchloks or insulation displacement connections as they are now known because they are less invasive
strange but true
pull off the seat covers and put in washing machine they come up well
if you have ripped ones pm me i have a few for sale
i wasnt keen on mustard at first but it grows on you and is really practical
the coppies ive seen arnt that good and have a grain in the cloth where it should be smooth
