Fresh engine build damaged after 800miles (engine builder refusing to fix under warranty)

Wow, that’s a bad story, thankfully you and your family made it safely to the SOS bay. I’m no expert on engines, far from it, but I doubt very much switching it off in a live lane would’ve prevented such a catastrophic failure like that from happening. Like you say, the warranty’s not worth...

    lares 209 coupler

I fitted one a while back (group buy on LB) it’s a massive improvement 👍 over the poor so-called OEM replacements. Not needed on vans with Litesteer though, as 1 or 2 found out.

    bad steering coupler

I’ve been running a lares 209 for a good few months now, this was the so called OEM I took off. I didn't cut it up, but it’s now in the bin where it belongs 👍

Buying parts from Europe (CSP?) and shipping to UK

I bought a 123 dizzy from CSP, well and truly had my hat nailed on with import duty. Can’t find the invoice, but it was easily more than a 1/4 of the overall price. Wish I had paid a little bit more via a UK seller to avoid the duty. Never again, lesson learnt 🙈

    Winnie - Our 1970 Bay

Nice sunny day here so me and Frankie decided to take Winnie for a spin down the beach. Repaired the lower front valance and bumper after my slight altercation with a high kerb coming back from Welshpool in March. Not quite got the lower under curve right on the bumper centre section, but it...
