Graham, If you get stuck then let me know - I'm pretty sure I've got a good one with clips in the garage... ;)

    Coilover advice

Froggy is right, Red9 use a Tie Bar to hold the torsion arms on - I wouldn't recommend just undoing the centre grub screws though as the torsion leaves are designed to just "flex" and provide springing - you can't be sure of their tensile (pulled from each end) strength. Give Red9 a call - they...

    15" Steels

I'm not sure how the seller can describe them as a set of wheels when only 3 are matching? ;)

    Painting Bumpers

If you're going to the expense of getting a pro to do the panel-beating then why not get him to paint it too? You'll never get a perfect finish with Hammerite IMHO. Powdercoating could be an option - but it would have to be perfect metal first! ;)

    Dilemma - advice needed

The guy has been honest with you, you're happy with the standard of work and he isn't asking for any more cash - I'd be tempted to leave it with him so he can finish the job he started! I realise you've planned on having the van for a wedding - but is there an alternative? Seems like the sort...

New nomination for EarlyBayer of the year 2011 - Oslo_mark69

I asked on 20th January if anyone lived near Crumlin, Newport (http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29071&hilit=newport) as I wanted to bid on a towbar for my Scooby but the seller wasn't keen to post - Mark Lewis (Oslo_mark69) very kindly offered to pick it up and wrap it for a courier...

    FRONT BEAM REMOVAL

They frequently come up on eBay - in various conditions and prices! You could post a wanted ad here on the forum, or you could try the likes of FBI (Swansea I think) or one of the other parts importers/breakers - they all import from dry states/Australia/South Africa so you'd get a good solid...

    Type 2 Owners Club

I don't think anyone is offended!! :D Lots of guys on here belong to several clubs - I think some folks were just trying to give you their impression of that particular club (T2OC) and how it might/might not fit in with what you're looking for in a club. I'd go local every time - much more...

    Health and F@*#$~G Safety

Have you had any accidents in the last 3 years?  I think that most H&S courses are for people who are improperly trained or are lacking in common sense - a whole industry has grown up to support it and (like environmentalists  ) they'll make sure it's here to stay! ;)

Hi Lemur, I wouldn't be too hasty if I were you - this has come up before and I'm pretty sure they are available in black (although I can't remember where at the mo'). I'll have a look and see if I can find the old thread for you... ;)
