    no insulation

I'll be fitting a headliner at somepoint and was wondering about fitting some scrim foam as insulation between the headliner and roof. So would you not fit the insulation if you had to do your headliner again?

What was the old reg number on my westy???

So, do you think if I contact the DVLA with my UK reg, it would be possible to get a copy of the US title doc? Has anyone else done this?

What was the old reg number on my westy???

Tried to find the US reg of my imported bus last year, but had no joy. Firstly, I tried using the website of the California version of the DVLA (can't remember what it was called), entered the VIN details but after going through the site it looked like you had to be a US resident, so that was...

This vehicle needs a goods vehicle test certificate!

I finally got my DVLA stuff sorted by sending copies of the same documents to 2 different DVLA departments at different postcodes. When I originally phoned them I was told that the documents were being held at another DVLA department which they couldn't access. The person I spoke to was quite...

This vehicle needs a goods vehicle test certificate!

This has appeared on mine aswell. So are you saying that not all MOT stations can do goods vehicle tests? As for the DVLA, I agree with what has already been said. They are a nightmare to deal with.

    My 1969 Deluxe

Couple of photos after the rust was removed and before the edges were smoothed off... For the top coat I just decided to seal the primer in a few coats of satin/matt grey. I'm OK with this and the finish as the tailgate has a couple of dings/marks etc, so although it would be great to...

Balboa Bay Bus - is owner on Early bay?

Thanks Lee. I'll keep my eyes peeled if I'm over that way. Remember briefly seeing it at Spring Dub earlier in the year, but missed speaking to the guy.

    My 1969 Deluxe

Doing the same job on mine at the moment (also a beige bus - snap!). I'll post the photos when I can find find them but this is a quick summary of what I did... 1. Removed back window rubber, taking trim out first same as you. 2. Was confronted with same condition as you,ie couple of rough...

Balboa Bay Bus - is owner on Early bay?

Is the owner of the Balboa Bay Bus on early bay? Came past it twice today in Durham - wanted to stop and have a chat with the owner, but both times I was going in the other direction. Annoyingly, the 1st time I saw it was practically at the end of my street, and the 2nd time it was parked up...

Correct Fitting Deluxe Metal Trim into Window Rubber?

Really? I order both the metal trim and rubber seals at the sametime from the same company. Is there anyway I can tell if the rubber seal I have is specifically for the Metal trim?

Correct Fitting Deluxe Metal Trim into Window Rubber?

Thanks for advice people. D@vey - I'm going to fit it like Picture 1. I have tried fitting it like Picture 2 (above) but it just looks wrong as the rubber sits over the trim... This photo isn't great, but you can make out the rubber on either side of the trim. Cheers!

Correct Fitting Deluxe Metal Trim into Window Rubber?

Hi, What is the correct way to fit the Metal Trim into window rubbers, in that does one edge of the metal trim sit inside the rubber and the other side "over"/outside the rubber? The metal trim has semi-circular profile. I've drawn a cross section of the rubber and trim below in an attempt...

    Going to California

Tough one. Would probably say more time in San Francisco. LA is good, there's the beaches, Hollywood and loads of other stuff to do and see, but if I was offered the choice between a stay in LA or San Francisco, at the moment i'd go for San Francisco. It just has a nice vibe about the place...

    Going to California

The helicopter was the quicker option. They flew out to the west rim of the canyon, landed in the canyon, glass of champagne, refuelled, played music from apocalypse now and flew back. But i'd recommend the plane. Flew out to the South rim, think the flight took a couple of hours, then landed...

    Going to California

Took about 2 days. Stayed in cambria, then Santa Monica. If you go north to South you are driving along side the coastline, makes it easier to pullover into layby's (not that there's loads of traffic mind - i's pretty much dead),and it means your passenger has a perfect view of the sea. As...

    Indicator Relay Meltdown Twice

Yep, thought of this aswell. I'll definitely check the connections to the lights. You can see from my photos that I've matched the colours of the wires to the ones I removed and that they match the wires on the other side of the blocks. Graham L - you wouldn't happen to remember which wires...

    Going to California

Did San Francisco to LA via the pacific Coast highway. Stopped off at places such as Monteray(?), carmel, big sur, Santander Monica etc. Was a great drive, awesome scenery - would love to do it again!

    Indicator Relay Meltdown Twice

Going to have another go at it today. I've bought another replacement flasher relay from Eurocarparts. In order to rule out the new indicator being the issue, I plan on disconnecting all 8 wires. Then I'm going to fit the new relay and see if just the indicators work via the hazard switch...
