    Thought about planning camp sites for each night. But then went back to plan A, of winging it and just find somewhere at the end of the day, and if we like it/had enough travelling stop for a couple of night and then carry on.

    Camping over at brightside campsite. There was a bit of a splitty gathering four years ago for the last lavenham meeting.Ours was the only early bay camping. The show was pretty good though,Kinda camberg in the UK.

    Oil smells of fuel

    OK, have you checked the oil level, too see if petrol is in the oil.I have had a carb needle valve stick and fill the engine with fuel.And had to replace the needle and seat.

    Brake fluid

    Is the hose from the reservoir, tight and letting fluid run down the hose to the area behind the front panel.also have you checked the master cylinder for leaks.

    Check all the basic engine tune and ensure the choke is fully off. Just sounds like hot start problem these engine suffer with,heat soak.I have always found a bit of throttle when cranking the engine from hot and it starts no problem.I think there was a mod for hot start problems, but cannot...

    Towbars

    i'm using an autocraft tow bar, with detachable swan neck. only I have problem is I cannot open the engine lid when my caravan is hitched up.the tow hitch just fouls the engine lid,would only need about 3mm to clear it.

    Tailgate difference between earlybays?

    appears i to have a late split tail gate but i had fitted it before i read this thread. Does that mean it will not work? it all looks like it lines up and closes. Not fitted the lock button yet though.
