Adding a servo to drums (No disks)

Hi, I have a UK '69 RHD Early Bay with drums all round (Wide 5). I have read previously online that it's possible to add a servo kit, without changing to disks. (Cant remember where I read it now) However having just spoken to Creative Engineering, they have told me their servo conversion...

What did you do with your early bay today

A second hand stainless steel back box arrived. The tailpipe was in a rather sorry state. So, armed with some rags, kitchen aluminium foil, T cut and a kitchen stainless steel spray cleaner I attacked it for 2 hours. Like new

EMPI 5 style alloys for sale

Need to clear my garage and I have 4 grey EMPI 5 style alloy wheels. I think the ET must have been 12 as I replaced them with a colour coded set of EMPI 5's with the ET12 and they sit identically. They are all in VGC with no scratches or kerbing etc. Two have tyres on but they are only legal by...

    Help No Electrics

Many thanks for all the info, I've given up for now as I just cant seem to find the fault. Arranging for my classic VW man to come round this week to work his magic on Merlot (My Camper). Andrew

    Help No Electrics

All fuses under dash checked and are fine. I see two power leads that leave the battery and go through towards the cabin. I am now presuming the answer lies at the other end of those cables. I have stripped the seats out the back of the van but the cables do not appear to come into the cabin...

    Help No Electrics

Just got back home on the back of an AA truck. Van just went electrically dead (running a steady 55mph) and I had to pull over on a verge. Everything is dead as if the battery was disconnected. I have now tested the battery on a multimeter and it's showing 13 volts. I disconnected the earth...

Recommend me a garage or specialist?

I have alist of things I want done on my 69 devon delux bus this winter. Futbus front disc brakes need to be fitted. Headlights / Full Beams / Indicators sorted (Replacement indicator stork supplied - wiring currently not right - full beam stuck on - side lights don't work nor hazzards) Both...

Rear tyre profile to change gearing

I have a lowered bus but it's not sitting on the ground by any means. I've got 15" EMPI 5 with low profile tyres. I was wondering whats the biggest profile tyre people get away with on a lowered bus? My reasoning is the bus can only really do 65MPH comfortably and I wondered if increasing the...

@Marvel Indeed it is from 'boro. I bought it blind and got an absolute gem from a lovely couple. @lard Give it a few months on the gallery as we want to refresh the interior :)

    Early Bay Disc Conversion

Do you think it would pass an MOT with the slightly wider track and no arch mods? Or is that a a case of it's not technically legal but highly unlikely to get noticed? ;) I may as well buy 4 wheels for the later smaller stud pattern and get the rear drums(?) from the same era. I can then sell...
