    The samples are only an inch or so long so difficult to make a judgement. I'm aware others on the site have used them. I don't have the skills so not an option for me.

    I looked at Gooding Aluminium and almost went that way. Just wasn't for me. They provide small samples; worth getting hold of if you're considering it. The J channel was quite a thick gauge. The H strip was good but I don't have the tooling or skills to shape that.

    Fuel pump frustration

    Thanks Noddy. Did a bit more asking around. As I understand it these are 'friction joints' and its not unusual for them to come adrift with age. I was told a gentle tap can be enough to reseat the pipe back into the housing. I've given this a go an so far so good. Any thoughts? Cheers, Nigel
