I’ve got an old FutBus rear disk conversion that uses Golf calipers and I can confirm the handbrake is crap 😂 I think I could fettle it to get it better though.

Well it seems the gearbox needs to come out for a rebuild, they hoped it would be a linkage issue but now think it’s an internal issue 🙈

I have a set of these air filters but I’m missing two lengths of threaded bar to attach the top, I can’t figure out the thread type, just wondering if anyone knows it? Thanks Mark

Tested the cut off solenoid and that works. I think you are right must be a blockage somewhere. i'll strip it back down and give it a good blast with carb cleaner.

Not that I'm aware of, I sprayed the engine with brake cleaner while it was running and had no change in engine noise.

Did you get this after ? I have some at home, may only be enough for one window though.

There is a specific starter for an Auto its quite a bit bigger than the standard one, I have them in my bug and bus as they do away with the need to use the bearing in the bell housing. What starter do you have ?
