I have a late 69 Westy that had a horrible uneven patch in the steering, i dropped the box off and opened it up, it looks like it was reconned not that long ago but looks like the pin with the roller bearings was tightened up too much so wasn't spinning which has a caused a flat spot on the pin...

I knew the second i saw this bus on the Samba a few years ago it had to be bought, the pics were bad and the discription no better so i took a massive risk and it was damn hard getting it shipped, it was quite a lot worse than expected when it arrived but still had potential to be the coolest...

what does the underside look like now, any sign of underseal or is it still factory paint/primer or surface rust? i would wait till you've done the bodywork and then Ankor wax it straight after before it gets damp again. Another good tip for you all, if your bus has been shultz type...
