Hi all, I have a 1641 longblock for sale, came out of a running van. It's AS 41 case believe it's originally from a beetle but has the modification to go into a van. Used to run really nicely until I noticed an oil leak under the bell housing so suspect a crankshaft oil seal, plus a moderate amount of endfloat is evident. I haven't had a look as it's still in my bus, so worst case it would need align boring and rebuilding. I don't know the mileage on it as it was used as a replacement engine for my 72 with documentation other than a top end refurb, of which recently discovered cyl number 1 sp plug had started to cross thread. I'm unsure of the value as it's only worth what someone's willing to pay so I'm open to offers as the funds will go toward an new longblock. Preferably collection from near Portsmouth but can deliver for fuel cost. I'll start the price at around £350 but it is negotiable.
