Right where do i start, i've owned this van for a number of years, I bought it about 12 years ago, drove it for about 3 years before taking it off the road so it could under go a full restoration, due to loss of storage i had to sell the van, I sold it to a friend of mine who runs a VW workshop & he started the restoration work! About 3 years after i sold it i went to look at a different van for sale with a friend of mine & sitting at the back of the barn was my old van, it was not up for sale but after a long hard negotiation i brought the van back part restored, the van then sat on my drive for quite a while until i bit the bullet & sent it in to be welded! The van at present has had all the welding done at a cost of £6500 by a local hotrod workshop, its pretty much stripped of all its parts & ready for me / someone to start the prep & paint, all the parts you need to rebuild it are there including a 1600 tp engine (in does have a small amount of end float). I also have the makings of an 1835 engine (big valve polished & ported heads, counter weight crank, high lift rockers, 009, crankcase etc, i also have a set of wide 5 Centre Line Wheels! I'm in to the van to the tune of £8900, i don't want to sell it but i'm starting my own business & i can't see when i'm going to have the time or the money to finish it. If i could set business up without selling it i really would and am still looking for that miracle.
