Hi, can anyone help please. I'm in need of a rear wheel bearing kit for my 68. I ordered what I thought to be a febi kit from custom and commercial. When they arrived they were the cheap Chinese type. When I phoned it became apparent that they had run out and sent me these. So, does anyone know where I can purchase some good quality ones asap please. Or, does anyone know the febi part number please. Andrew page may be able to get them. Thanks everyone!

Schofields are listing this one as "German made". I would give them a call to double check first - ask to speak to Rick. I have found the "old school" ways of picking up the phone works really well when dealing with Schofields! I have always received brilliant advice from them and they have gone out of their way to help finding specific hard to find parts when asked.

Hi, just an update re schofields. I travelled there today after being told they are Meyle. I was happy so went there to purchase. When arrived the person behind the counter came back with a meyle box and a klm box?? He then opened the meyle box which had one bearing, one splitpin and two seals. He then removed the klm bearing that had no markings and put this into the meyle box?? I asked why? He said you you have to make them up? Everyone does it? You can't get two German bearings? I decided not to purchase as klm are actually Chinese. No thanks. Back to custom and commercial who will soon have fag and another complete german make. So, be careful what you think you are ordering!!

Very surprised at that from Schofields

I got my rear bearings from there as they were the only place at the time selling German made ones - mine is a 71 though.

Sorry for the crap recommendation!

Hey, no worries at all. i was surprised too!

I found a local wheel bearing company in Rotherham who supplied me with the skf ones.

Take care...Nick
