It's a very sad day for me as I have to finally come to terms with the fact that I have to sell my beloved camper. But, I can't give her the time or attention or money that she deserves. So, here we go.

GOOD POINTS

So it's a RHD 1969 1600cc Bay Window Camper Van. Tax Exempt. Complete body restoration finished in 2008. Resprayed in Neptune Blue over white. This is seriously the sweetest colour i've ever seen on a camper. Originally a Devon convertion, the pop-top has been replaced with a full length rag top by Paris Beetles. Brand new working stove (it's not in the interior picture, it wasn't fitted then), brand new 3/4 rock and roll bed. Custom made stainless steel 4 into 1 exhaust. Empi shifter. Front brakes completely rebuilt (apart from drums) and rear brakes serviced 6 months ago. All new german quality door seals all round. A beautiful camper that has had a mountain of money spent on her, and also given myself and my wife some incredibly happy times (including our honeymoon in the Gower, lush!) I also have a valuation certificate from a specialist camper insurance company valuing her at £7000 last year. I also have all of the reciepts for all of the work carried out, plus a photo account of the entire restoration. Just had a brand new MOT where it flew through, no adviseries, just needed a number plate light bulb. It now has 12 months tax also.

BAD POINTS
Ok, so the majority of the work was done by the previous owner. I've been finishing most of the bits off and i've just ran out of time, space and money. The headliner isn't great and the fuel gauge doesn't work

ALSO...

The engine has a significant oil leak. I'm pretty sure it's the main oil seal. It still runs, starts on the button and drove us from London to Bristol and back only 4 months ago, with hardly any miles being covered since. It is something that will need sorting incredibly soon, and I would seriously considering trailoring it if you're planning on going a long way. With this is mind, the following are included with the sale.

*A donor 1641 engine 90% complete. I haven't had this unit running since it's been in my hands so I can't comment on it's condition at all. There isn't any end float, so thats always a good start.
*A brand new generator - unused
*A set of brand new, adjustable pushrods and seals
*4 brand new spark plugs
*A brand new distributor cap
*A brand new fan belt
*A 5 litre can of classic car motor oil
*A camping table and chairs set. (nothing to do with the engine, but just thought it'd be nice to throw them in)

If you know you're way around a VW, then this will be an absloute steal. If you don't know you're way around a VW, then it really wouldn't need a lot spending on it to get it 100%, hence why i'm selling a £7000 camper for £6000. It just needs the last 10% of things doing to it, and the engine sorting out properly. Thats the only thing letting down a camper that is otherwise ready to rock for the summer.

Please feel free to give me a shout with any questions. I'm a straight up, friendly honest man, and I only want to do business with people of the same nature, so no time wasters thank you!
