Hi all,

For sale is my 1969 devon poptop which I have owned since may of this year, the intention was to restore him to his former beauty and get away to shows and generally bumble about with my wife and three kids. A summer has now passed and he is still not fit for purpose, ie having a laugh with the kids and the wife, and because of this i am letting him go with an eye to buying a road ready camper that i can enjoy with the kids now rather than have it ready when the kids are too old to enjoy it the same way they would at the minute.

I bought it from a chap in glasgow who was using it as a hire vehicle and i drove it all the way back from glasgow with no problems, a nine and a half hour journey. It had an mot until Aug '11 and is now on a SORN.

When we got it back we have completely overhauled the under side of the van mechanically with:
Creative engineering front stock beam
Fully rebuilt brake sysem including new master cylinder
recon steering box
etc etc, you get the picture, i can supply a full list of the bits i have bought as i still have the invoices!!..all in all getting on for £3k worth of new bits

The interior is top notch with original front seats and a largely unmolested devon interior with two hammocks in the poptop and a cab cot for the smaller kids, it has a cooker and gas bottle and interior heater and sink, along with a stereo and amp, also a split charge system.

It needs a bottom six inch resto and this is beyond me, chassis and lower bodywork are all in need of attention

I am looking for offers in the region of £5250 reduced price, will consider p/x WHY? a great restoration if you are a bit handy with the welder with time on your side, i am in the burton on trent area

Drop me a pm if you want to take a look

Come on Dean read the ad!!

It had an mot until Aug '11 and is now on a SORN

SORN means no tax

Some pics of the chassis have now been added to the flick r link

The van can be patched to get it through the mot then used or it needs a full bottom six inch resto chassis and panels
