If I wanted to upgrade my front brakes to discs what are my options? and is it worth it.

Thanks

Depends on the condition of your current brakes, I assume you have drums. As long as drum are well adjusted and in good condition they will work as well as non servo assisted disks.

My bay pulls up really well on drums good enough to lock all 4 wheels which is interesting in the conditions we've been having over the last two weeks.

If your determined to go down the route of fitting disk I would also fit a servo, this means either getting a later front beam or getting a plate made and welded to your beam to take the servo, the advantage of using a later beam is it should just bolt on and accept disks.

If you upgrade your current beam it will mean either buying an expensive disk kit to fit you spindles, Like CSP advantage is you can keep the wide 5 wheel stud pattern, or fitting a full later beam which will probable cost a little less depending on the overall condition but you will end up with the later stud pattern on the front.

I would go down the route of checking out your current brakes check condition of drums and pads make sure you have no leaks and that the flex hoses are in good nick (old hoses can close up internally causing reduced breaking).

Im sure the guys with more expertise in this area can give you some idea of costs.
