This Early Bay Westfalia Bus arrived with us from California on 29/11/2012.
It is a 1970 model with wide 5 wheels and drum brakes all round. The brakes have just been fully serviced both front and rear and it was found to have a leaking master cylinder. This is due to be replaced with a brand new unit before the sale of the Bus.
The engine is a 1600cc single port originally found in this year of bus. It has been fully serviced and starts and runs like a dream.
This bus will be road tax exempt due to it's year.
A full 12 months MOT will be supplied with this bus at the point of sale.
Currently this bus has not been UK registered but will be supplied with a full UK registration at the point of sale and new age related number plates.
Inside you will find the original Westfalia interior including rock and roll bed, table, fridge and sink. The seats are all in good order except the drivers seat which requires a bit of repair. New seat covers can be supplied (at extra cost) all round which in our opion would transform the interior.
Originally from California this bus is Left Hand Drive and still requires new headlights and tail lights so it can be driven on the UK roads. These new units will be supplied and fitted at the point of sale and prior to the MOT.
The body of the van is all in good condition with the exception of the nearside rear wheel arch that has a little damage. The paintwork is good although has some marks and scratches.
No rot or damage has been found on the underside of the Bus although some rust is present on the drivers side cab floor area. This piece of the cab floor will be repaired before the sale of the bus.
