This sort after Walk-Through model now comes with 12 Months MoT and is recently registered, this vehicle is ready to go!
This bus was originally sold before it landed on UK shores, however due to a new baby the customer has decided to purchase one of our Early Bay Westfalia Pop-top’s instead.
Potentially it could look like this!
It is an original paint 1970 Early Bay Deluxe Microbus and one of the best unmolested examples of this vehicle we have seen and comes most of its original interior and deluxe trim (apart from the rear bench seat).
She has been fitted with a rebuilt, low mileage industrial 1500cc engine, which has a new carburetor, a new battery and a new 4-Tip Monza sports exhaust fitted*
She has 4 Emphi 5 stud wheels with brand new tyres fitted and all of the brakes have been serviced including replacing the master cylinder and all of the brake lines.
A new clutch and thrust bearing has been fitted so the gearbox selects and changes very well.
This vehicle could remain in its original condition as it has a great patina, or it could be symmetrically restored, either way this would be a fantastic weekend camper and a shrewd classic car investment.
It required only minor welding to the cab floor and rear corner, none were needed for it to pass its UK MoT, which it passed 1st time and without any advisories.

The interior is a blank canvas, either replace the missing bench seat, to restore to an original specification micro-bus or install a new bespoke interior, we were thinking American Oak units, British Racing Green and Cream leather interior and matching chequered floor tiles – maybe?

Summary:
Outside
• The outside panels all have very minor indents and scratches however they are all original with fantastic original paint and surface rust patina
• The nose is in fantastic shape, solid and straight, with no filler!
• Driver’s door is solid inside and out
• Passenger door is solid inside and out
• Sliding door is solid inside and out and the closing action is smooth
• The long panel is very straight and solid
• Drivers rear corner has had the lower 4” repaired, passenger side is solid
• Jacking points, top hats, doglegs and arches are all completely solid and original
• The roof is solid with only surface rust and has a great white / green patina
• Battery tray is good
• Rear bumper is included but is unfitted (needs brackets)
• Front bumper is sold with minor dents
• Cab floor has had minor repair on the driver’s side apart from that it is very solid
• The cargo floor is now 100%
• The front seats are original but could do with being renovated or recovered
• There is no rear bench seat
Mechanics
• The newly installed engine is a rebuilt 1500cc Single Port unit and has been fully serviced
• The gearbox selects very well
• The brakes have been fully serviced
• The steering is good with minimal play
• All electrics are working
• The ignition is working fine, one key fits the ignition and all of the door locks (I know how rare is that)
• A new 12v battery has been fitted
• It has 4 new tyres
• All brakes have been serviced and hydraulics replaced (where required)
• New UK headlights
• All new steering assembly, draglink, anti-roll bars and couplings etc.
• New front suspension ball joints
Additional work can be carried out subject to negotiation.
