A friend of mine has had to make the very difficult decision to sell her bug to fund a house project.
It's a 1971 1300 model called Daphne, she has bee fitted with a 1600 engine.
The car was restored about 5 years ago and has been in daily use since. shortly after the paintwork was done it reacted with some spilt petrol around the filler neck hence the peeled off paint but other than that and a couple of minor rust bubbles, it's still in a very presentable condition and in the summer sunshine sparkles with its metallic blue paint.
The interior is very clean and very comfortable, she regularly makes the journey from Northampton to Sussex with ease and no running problems. She is mildly lowered and fitted with Empi 8 spoke wheels.
Being a '71 she is tax exempt and has an MOT till June 2011. At it's last MOT it had new brakes fitted.
The car is located in the Nothampton area and the owners name is Katy, she is looking for £2200.
