Greetings from the states. Here is my 71 Kombi project I picked up in January. It's got plenty of rust in the front floor, the rockers, and under the windshield, but the rest of the bus is pretty solid. I'm going to have to learn to weld.
I've got the engine pulled already, and finished cleaning up the transmission. I've still got to do a compression check and see what I'm working with here.
It seems that you don't see too many Kombi's in original Kombi configuration, and I thought it'd be pretty neat to leave it as a basic Kombi. But I found out the rear seats are out of a later bay, and that's kind of disappointing, I thought these seats were original to this bus. So I have some ideas for maybe making it into some sort of custom camper...
