Here are a few photos taken this morning of my 1971 early Bay tin top before it left http://www.berkshirebugs.co.uk where it has had almost a full restoration.
It was originally a Devon Sunlander that I purchased in 2003, however the original cooker and two rear facing seats were missing when I bought it. I can’t decide whether or not to return it to the original interior or custom build a new one.
It has been painted in L345 light grey and R920 arctic white, suspension dropped about 3” to give it a subtle but very comfortable ride height.
Running a stock 1600cc engine and gearbox.

Happy New Year

Stunning bus mate. I like the colour scheme - would I be correct in saying that your colour choice of L345 light grey is close to Savannah Beige? Is L345 an original colour for '71? My own bus left the Devon works as a Sunlander but none of the original interior was left so my choice of interior refurb was easy and I simply went for a full width R+R with everything else (rear facing seat, cooker unit etc) being removable so that as much of the load area is available should we need it. No doubt you've seen this link to the Devon '71 brochure..

Happy motoring in 2007.
John.

Thanks for all the kind replies.
Here are some of the underneath when the chassis was being rebuilt. It’s had all new chassis rails, outriggers, jacking points, top hat sections, cab floor, sills both sides, beam….the list goes on and on (and that’s just the underside without the replacement panels which were also fitted)

I love this bus, its as clean looking as they get 8)

Side step looks ace, may have to look at one of these in the future

Yeah, the kick panels are made from 3mm hardboard, I just used the old ones as a template and changed them slightly to fit better.

Hi Duncan,

Do you have anymore up to date pics you wanted added on to our website? Finally getting around to updating everything.

Speak to you soon :D

Hi Decapman,

The whitewalls are from Karmann Konnection, they usually sell them at the shows or you can buy mail order. I presume they are bus spec, they fit them to all their busses that they sell.

Ashley, I'll get some pics to you and you can choose which ones you want to add to the site :D

Cheers
