This is my 1972 RHD Cross over, 1700cc Type 4 engine Westy Conversion…
I received it 3 & half years ago and it was just a shell. I’ve done a lot of work on the van since then, list includes:
• New CV Joints & boots
• New Push rod tubes and Seals
• New seals all-round the engine
• Engine had a full service, new sparkplugs, leads, fuel and oil filter, fuel hoses and grommets.
• Front Seats re-upholstered
• New Mad Mats front cab kit
• New Pioneer Stereo with Front and Back Speakers
• New rear interior
o Van Works Kitchen Unit
Cooker
Sink
Water Pump
Fridge
Storage
o New Full width RnR bed system with Upholstered Cushions
o Buddy Seat
o New upholstered Seats
o All new front and rear door cards & Upholstered
o New Spare Wheel Cover
o Van fully insulated
o General Tidy up of interior
o New roof double bed & upholstered
o Full Electronic Power unit, 12v and 240 power supply with plug sockets.
o New 3 Point Seatbelts all round front and back.
• New water pump for windscreen washers
• New Front bumper steps
• New Front and rear brake hoses
The list goes on……
The Van is very solid, even has the original under trays on the van. There are a couple of points which would need doing in the future.
• Needs new front door seals, it has cheap ones which never fitted properly. Haven’t changed them yet.
• Front cab floor has been patched in the past, it’s solid, however worth replacing in the future.
• Rear boot has a few paint cracks on the white, would need a small respray.
The Van comes with a new MOT where it had no advisories. Please message me for more info. Reading (Berkshire) Area
