2.0 gearbox wanted or a good 1600 c u box

would seem some yank has put a 68 box in my late bay and the bearings are no longer available !
back to the drawing board- anyone got a 2 litre box or how do i know what this box is as i dont think they did a 2.0 bay in 68, the forth gear has 28 teeth ?

I have put a 2litre box in my 69, but I had to change the input shaft and bellhousing on the 2litre box as they were for a type 4 engine, a easy job if you can get hold of a 2litre box! :?

thanks like you said if you can get a 2.0 box there like rocking horse poo!
did you have to change the startermotor ?

No the startermotor is the same. people will tell you they have 2litre boxs but there not, the only one you want has to start with the code CP, this has 6 rips and the taller 4 gear. I hope this helps but there are F****** rare. :wink:
