As you can see from the tag this is the second ever SO-62 ever made. they are a rare Westfalia conversion using a sunroof model non walkthrough body shell as a base. they feature a full width rock and roll bed and a swivel table. in behind the bulkhead would be a cooker, sink and cool box unit, unfortunately this one is missing although something similar could be knocked up easily. i'm sure the original part of this interior that's missing will come up on the samba eventually. the poptop has had the canvas replaced with mesh type material which gives a nice airy feeling from the inside and would give great ventilation in the summer. it was built mid 68 so still has the push button door handles and all the other nice early features plus the early beam and chassis leg design that makes it possible to bolt a split bus beam straight on to get i nice and low if required. it was painted many years ago in a blue a little brighter than the original Neptune blue. it has very little rust, it has dents but i knocked alot of them out fairly well and it wouldn't be a massive job to prepare it for paint or just use it as it is...
It runs very well and the brakes work even though they are spongey. all the gears shift ok and clutch feels good. it needs a screen, rubber and a little rust repair in that area but nothing serious. most of the lights work but indicators and ignition wiring need a little attention. it has 4 brand new tyres.
there are 2 prices for this bus. one as it is or one mechanically overhauled, screen replaced etc, tidied, MOT'd, registered...
It actually belongs to a guy i know, i have to check with him before i post the prices but at least you have some details and pics to look at.
