Just read on a post by clem that the 68/69 bunk poles are a different shape and length. Can anyone confirm the length for me? Photo of the right poles would also be appreciated. Might explain why my bunk is a bit of a pain to get in place  Also if anyone has a set going spare then please get in touch :)

68/9 are the black round ones, the next ones on are the galvanised box section versions. The lengths arent massively different but enough ;)

The last ones were adjustable, but Im not sure when they came along. NLA repro these.

Cheers Mike, mine are the box section so that explains them not fitting great :) I take it you have the round ones? If you do is there any chance you could measure them when you have 5 mins? Just means I know exactly what I'm looking for and can check against my brackets.

My '70 came with the black round poles, but I now use the extendable box section ones as they pack shorter to fit under the 3/4 RnR in my Berlin interior, they both fit but the solid poles are a faff to fit and usually take a layer of paint off with every use, which is nice :D

Any chance of measuring the round ones mate? Also where did you get the extendable ones from, sounds like a better option. Putting the bunk up takes a large amount of care at the min!

I sold it mate with the interior so no can do. You need to keep an eye out or contact the Westy specialists

Ahhh OK cheers. Might investigate extendable ones although I like keeping stuff original where possible :)

I haven't been to my unit yet, but I haven't forgotten! :)

I had some extendable poles as part of a kit from NLA. I sold them on as I just wanted the canvas to use with my og poles ;)

Thanks mike :) I may go for extendable until if can find some og ones

So so sorry it's taken so long

The pole is 141.5 cm long and the end of bracket to end of bracket in total is 143 cm.

I have the round black poles for my 69 and as said they are hard to fit, and have found that it is easier if i spin one of the screws out of the l/h front bracket and spin it down, put the pole in position then replace the bracket over the pole! Takes a minute to do and is really easy ;)
