I would probably go with some threaded tube threaded to right size, i think it's 14mm but i could be wrong with either some welded lugs or thick metal washer and weld it in?

Small update of the last week

I've removed the axle beam and I will install my beam adjuster.


Mark the holes locations to put back the VW emblem.


I've started the insulation with some ''rockwool'' 1.5'' thick or 38mm .
