I just recently scored "Goldie", this 69' campmobile from the original owner who bought it new in 69'. He also gave me a huge file folder with every maintenance record saved from the day he got it new in 69'. He also gave me the original bill of sale with all the extras he bought included on it.
Under the rear seat is the original 6x6 tent that has never been taken out of the bag until now. He told me he never once took it out. It shows too. Looks brand new.
Tony, the original owner is a professional violisinst. He told me stories about smoking a doobie in the back seat of the bus with Jimmie cliff. The famous reggae musician.
The interior was kept in very good condition considering its all original, except for the gold paint job. Tony wanted a gold bus and painted it gold back in the early 70's.
Stay tuned as I will bring you up to date shots as I have already cleaned it up a lot. It was sitting for 13 years, since 2001 until I towed it out of his driveway.
It's running with only new carb and tires.
Motor was rebuilt three times according to his receipts. Only has 48,000 on the newest rebuild, with a total if 198,000 at the moment.
Already taken it surfing a bunch . Shaun Tomson even likes the bus.
